Our morning in pictures
Jordan and I got up, and took Hank for a walk this morning, as we do every morning. Today, we took a bit of different route so that we could shove a letter in a nearby mailbox. On our way, we saw this tree that had all these rivers of fossils where the bark had rotted off. I don't know what made those markings. Worms? Termites?
Anyway, I took a picture with my RAZR, and here you go. Marshall's wild kingdom, people.
Next we had breakfast at La Guadalupana Cafe & Bakery. We both had omelettes; Jordan had a vegeterian one and I had the Especial with chorizo, bacon, and ranchero sauce. Food was awesome (but I am skipping the ranchero sauce next time). This place is right by our house (at the corner of Dunlavy and Indiana), but this was only the second time we've been there. If you remember nothing else about this post, remember this: La Guadalupana has the best. coffee. in. town. I am not kidding. The owner imports it himself from Mexico, and oh man it is teh awesome. He's very proud of it. As well he should be.
Finally we headed up to the Gap to see if we could find me a new hoodie. I buy one every year around this time, cuz this is when they're on sale. The Gap actually had lotsa cool stuff, but none of it was on sale. So we headed over to the Fundamentally Toys to say hey to Ben and look at the kid stuff. As we were leaving we stopped in this store called Redstitch (Houston is Haute!). I found this hoodie there, and it was only $12.99. Regular price is $40.
If you are a hipster and have not the hipster funds, you should head over there, because they're having a 70% off sale. Jordan got a pair of $229 jeans for about $60. And she got a shirt for $7. They have lots more stuff for ladies than for the boys, but there's quite a lot of Paul Frank shirts for those of you that don't have ridiculous bellies and can actually pull off the skinny tee thing.
The end. :)
